For more than 40 years, VIDEOR customers have trusted the broad portfolio and tailor-made solutions of the leading distributor in the field of professional video and security technology. Until recently, VIDEOR has processed some of its orders in a very classic and traditional way, albeit very labor-intensive, using offers created by employees, without using the existing Magento 1 store.

The objective for netz98 for the new store was to completely digitize the project management. The work steps that were previously carried out manually should be carried out via a future-oriented online platform, based on the powerful Magento 2.

With its large and growing range of services and solutions, the family-run company has shaped the industry since it was founded in 1975. VIDEOR stands for extensive market and product knowledge, efficient logistics, and for committed and cooperative partnership with its international customers. Strong and suitable brands, accompanying services, as well as pre- and after-sales service shape the excellent image. Around 120 employees work for the global company based in Rödermark near Frankfurt am Main.

  • Forward-looking replatforming
    With the digitization of the now fully digital quotation process, a big step towards process automation has been achieved. VIDEOR can now process a large part of the total sales via the digitized offer process. The added value for VIDEOR: lower costs and increased customer satisfaction.
  • User-friendly article comparison
    Another highlight is the article comparison with attribute highlighting. VIDEOR customers can now have articles sorted and displayed without having to reload. The system highlights the differences to the reference article in color. An Excel download completes the new function.
  • New filter options
    Particular attention was paid to optimizing the numerous filters. Thanks to the dynamic filters, customer benefits and ease of use were significantly increased.
  • Mobile optimization
    netz98 optimized the mobile functions to optimize mobile use of the e-commerce platform for customers.
  • Brand management
    Integrated brand stores – reserved exclusively for one manufacturer’s products, news, editorial articles, and banners – are establishing themselves as an important factor of the e-commerce platform. Four brand stores have already been integrated into the online store; VIDEOR can freely scale the number of brand stores as required.
  • Demanding redesign
    netz98 redesigned the platform with the aim of increasing usability. The design became more modern and fresher; its use, more intuitive. At the same time, this is intended to improve acceptance of the e-commerce platform and the conversion rate.

Special highlight

Manage offers and blanket orders online

Customers can now use project management to manage blanket orders company-wide. In addition to the list price, customer-specific prices and a project price can also be displayed. By optimizing the interface connection, millions of prices can be imported in a matter of minutes. Thanks to the new “Offers & blanket orders” function, customers have access to all important information on their blanket orders at all times. There is also the option of processing partial fulfillment. Customers can view accepted offers and partial deliveries under the heading “My orders”.
